Lot 13 Extension – Onslow Marine Supply Base
The Onslow Marine Supply Base (OMSB) is a critical hub supporting offshore oil and gas facilities, subsea works, and pipeline decommissioning activities along the WA coast.
Shute Harbour Redevelopment
Cyclone Debbie devastated the Whitsunday region, with Shute Harbour among the worst-hit maritime facilities. Once a vital hub for tourism and local operators, its pontoons, gangways, and piles were destroyed or left unsafe, restricting access to the Whitsunday Islands and impacting the local economy.
Cape Preston Transhipment Operations
Cape Preston, on Western Australia’s Pilbara coast, is home to one of the world’s largest magnetite mining and processing operations. With shallow harbour conditions, the port cannot accommodate large ocean-going bulk carriers directly. Instead, a transhipment model is used, transferring ore via tugs and barges from the port to offshore anchorage points where cargo is loaded onto bulk carriers for export.

Manton Dam
Ben Lalonde Engineering were engaged by Exact Contracting to provide a modular crane barge service at the Dam wall at Manton Dam to deliver the replacement of internal valving and upgrades to the infrastructure of the Intake tower.
Nelligen Bridge Marine Support
Ben Lalonde Engineering played a key role in the Nelligen Bridge project, providing overwater support for construction before demolishing the 7-span, 5,000-tonne bridge. The in-house demolition was incident-free, using a suspended work deck with geotextile and drainage to capture debris. Materials were processed on-site and recycled. This project highlighted Ben Lalonde Engineering’s expertise in complex marine demolition within sensitive waterways.
Circular Quay
This project involved concrete remediation works, including hydro-blasting to remove spalling and unsound concrete, followed by shotcrete application and bar reinforcement.
Marmara Sea
Currently engaged in a major energy infrastructure project in the Marmara Sea, focused on the development of Offshore Wind Power generation and the rectification of existing offshore platforms. This dual-faceted project aims to enhance the region’s sustainable energy capacity while upgrading the structural integrity and operational efficiency of its offshore facilities.
